The Sunbeach resort, in the Gulf of Squillace, bathed by the Ionian Sea, is an exotic oasis with a thousand-year history: Ulysses passed here, the Normans built a castle and the Saracens made their raids there. The surrounding area is dotted with beaches and ancient villages. Restaurant & all-inclusive
Air-conditioned main restaurant with a large outdoor terrace, perfect for dining al fresco.
Our dining service is always buffet-style, giving guests complete freedom to mix flavours and choose portions according to their own taste. Every day we offer a wide selection of regional and international dishes, with a broad choice of appetisers, first courses, main courses, side dishes, authentic Italian pizza, fruit and desserts. Theme nights and a traditional Calabrian dinner are part of the weekly programme. At lunch and dinner, the following are always included at no extra charge: filtered water, house white, red and rosé wine, draft beer and soft drinks from the dispenser.
Due to the layout of our kitchens, we cannot guarantee the complete absence of cross-contamination for any type of intolerance, nor can we customise menus for individual allergies. That said, our buffet always includes naturally gluten-free, lactose-free and egg-free options. We also offer a dedicated range of gluten-free products. For breakfast: crispbreads, biscuits, rice cakes, sliced bread, packaged snacks, jams and muesli. For lunch and dinner: pasta, bread and packaged desserts.
A central bar, pool bar and beach bar are available.
To highlight the international spirit of the resort, only the “All Inclusive” formula is available. It includes unlimited drinks by the glass at the resort bars from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm and, at the main bar only, until 11:00 pm. Included products are: water, wine, beer, coffee and hot drinks, fruit juices, a selection of sweetened soft drinks, alcoholic and non-alcoholic cocktails, vermouth, limoncello, local herbal liqueur, gin, vodka, rum and grappa. Alcoholic beverages are not served to minors.
For children, every day:
RistoMini “Hero’s Banquet”: a special children’s menu where kids can have lunch together with the Hero Camp staff in a dedicated area.
Baby Feeding Room: a fully equipped area for children up to 3 years old, open with no time restrictions, where parents can prepare meals and find basic foods freshly prepared by our kitchen without added salt, using carefully selected fresh ingredients. Available items include meat, vegetable and fish broth, vegetable purée, small pasta, grated cheese, whole and semi-skimmed UHT milk, yogurt, soft cheeses and seasonal fruit. Baby food jars are not provided.
Entertainment
Club Esse Sunbeach is a large, multilingual resort with a truly international club-style atmosphere. All services are delivered in a way that is accessible to all guests, based on the main nationalities present. The property offers wide, open spaces designed for daily activities, including a swimming pool, the beach, a piano bar and an amphitheatre, as well as a pool disco bar. Our entertainment team is friendly and engaging without ever being intrusive, and accompanies guests throughout their stay with a rich programme of activities, sports and shows, combining relaxation and fun in a lively, welcoming atmosphere.
Sports
Two large equipped swimming pools are available: the “Cassiodoro” pool, which hosts all entertainment activities with dedicated areas for adults and children, and the “Laguna” pool, ideal for those seeking peace and quiet. The resort also features two tennis courts, one multi-purpose court, one five-a-side football pitch, two bowls courts, volleyball and beach volleyball.
Children and Teens
Pink Hero the penguin, our mascot straight from the cold, is ready to welcome our little heroes to dance, play and raise awareness about environmental topics.
Hero Camp (for children aged 3 to 12, divided into age groups) runs from 9:30 am to 6:30 pm and lets our young guests enjoy a holiday within a holiday, with specialised staff assistance, a fully equipped play area, a children’s theatre workshop and a playroom with games.
Young Club (for teens aged 13 to 18) offers plenty of opportunities to socialise and share experiences through sports activities and tournaments, creative workshops and events designed specifically for their age group.

The 232 rooms are divided into Comfort rooms, Garden Suites (with a double bedroom and a living area featuring a double sofa bed or bunk beds, plus a furnished patio or terrace), and the more spacious Family Laguna rooms, with a furnished patio and direct access to the swimming pool. The property is accessible for guests with disabilities.

The Calabrian coast where the resort is located has a lot to offer, starting from visits to small characteristic towns such as Tropea and Isola di Capo Rizzuto. You can visit the National Archaeological Park in Roccelletta and the Fortress of Le Castella. Or go for a nice trip in the clear waters of Calabria.
