If this year you have been on holiday in Aglientu, not far from Santa Teresa Gallura, one of the most popular tourist destinations<\/a> in Sardinia, you will certainly have seen one of the shows by Pasquale and the entertainment team.<\/p>\n

After introducing you to Lele Barrella<\/a>, one of the masters of entertainment made in Club Esse, and\u00a0Lisa Michelino<\/a> “Lady of reservations” and a true expert in dreams that come true, allowing all guests to always have what they have chosen, today at About Us<\/em> is the turn of\u00a0Pasquale “Mr. Pako” Tafuro<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Hi Pasquale, can you tell to “About Us” why did you choose tourist entertainment?<\/h4>\n

It just sort of happened I chose tourist entertainment: it was back in 2001 when a friend told me to try this unique experience. So, at the beginning of July after school, I decided. My first resort was Cala Bitta<\/a> (which was then called Ringo Hotel) always with Club Esse. And as they say in these cases, the first love is never forgotten!<\/p>\n

What do you love about your profession?<\/h4>\n

I love everything about my job! Starting with the guests you meet every week, the team, which eventually becomes a family. Giving smiles is perhaps the most beautiful thing there is in the world and when you see a guest, a kid, who smiles at you, you really understand why you love this job. And then the stage! The stage is freedom in all meanings … the applause, the laughter, the little guests playing happily in front of you. And all of this leads to freedom and joy. And then I’d talk for hours on stage (laughs editor’s note).<\/p>\n

Your ideal holiday?<\/h4>\n

I see my ideal vacation in the midst of nature, with a jeep, Indiana Jones-style hat, my wife and the sea (it can’t work without it). Australia, for example, and wandering around aimlessly! And then I have a secret wish\u2026 Brodway: maybe one day I’ll make it happpen!<\/p>\n

Tell us about that time when…<\/h4>\n

This is the inconvenient part! I could tell you whole pages of ‘that time’\u2026 but honestly the thing I remember most probably was my first time on stage: unforgettable! And at the end someone introducing me, the first applause to Paco the Neapolitan<\/em>. A feeling that I will always keep in my heart.<\/p>\n

What is your secret to get the guests’ attention?<\/h4>\n

I have no secrets! In the end I am myself, with so much simplicity and humility. Maybe that’s what guests like. I like to be with them all the time, have a coffee together, have a chat and make them feel part of the resort. In the evening on stage interacting with them is the thing I love the most. In other words, I try to convey tranquility and lightheartedness.<\/p>\n

How has the pandemic changed your job?<\/h4>\n

Well, Covid cancel the phisical contact: the handshakes, the group games, the mask. But we have all learned to recognize emotions from the eyes, also because in the end the smiles and applause are still the same. I have (unfortunately) got used to social distancing: I believe that even if we are far away we are close.<\/p>\n

What makes you happy?<\/h4>\n

It may be obvious as an answer, but I will tell you that what makes me happy is my whole life, especially thanks to those close to me, always ready to support me in everything I do. I think it’s the best thing in the world when people believe in you and trust you. You’ll sleep well and wake up with a smile.<\/p>\n

Tell us your biggest dream.<\/h4>\n

20 years ago I would have told you “I want to become an Air Force pilot”: I haven’t tried this though (Paco laughs Ed.). Now instead I would tell you that I would like to do a TV show with the Italian Entertainer Fiorello (where he is my guest)! But I keep the most important one to myself: you know, I’m Neapolitan and superstitious!<\/p>\n

Ciao Lisa, presentati!<\/h4>\r\nCiao a tutti! Sono Luisa Michelino, ma fin da quando ero piccola, tutti mi chiamano Lisa. A volte devo fare attenzione perch\u00e9 sono talmente abituata a questo nome che rischio di sbagliare i dati sulle prenotazioni che faccio per me.\r\n\r\nSono la Responsabile Booking del Gruppo Club Esse, ma dovrei dire che la mia mansione \u00e8 costruire i puzzle, perch\u00e9 vi assicuro che gestire tutte le prenotazioni in cos\u00ec tante strutture, con cos\u00ec tante tipologie di camere, con i diversi trattamenti e tutte le richieste \u00e8 un compito davvero delicato e complicato; e tutti i pezzi devono necessariamente andare al loro posto.\r\n\r\nIl mio obiettivo, e quello di tutte le ragazze del mio reparto, \u00e8 quello di fare in modo che gli operatori stranieri ed italiani, le agenzie di viaggi, i clienti diretti, insomma, tutti quanti, abbiano esattamente quello che hanno prenotato e, se possibile, anche di pi\u00f9. Finora abbiamo soddisfatto tutti e non ci sono motivi per credere che smetteremo di farlo!\r\n

Perch\u00e9 hai scelto il mondo del turismo?<\/h4>\r\nIn realt\u00e0 \u00e8 stata una conseguenza del mio passato da animatrice, iniziato nel lontano 1996, per poi approdare nel 2000 negli uffici Club Esse. In seguito, dopo i primi 10 anni in cui gestivamo staff di animazione, abbiamo iniziato un percorso di gestione<\/a> di hotel e villaggi (il primo \u00e8 stato il Cala Bitta<\/a> di Baia Sardinia) che ha portato l'azienda a diventare una vera e propria catena alberghiera, con 16 strutture in gestione.\r\n

Quali sono le richieste pi\u00f9 strane che ti hanno fatto?<\/h4>\r\nCe ne sarebbe da scrivere un libro. Gli aneddoti pi\u00f9 divertenti sono quelli che riguardano gli sconti. Non \u00e8 raro che alla domanda \u201cQuanti siete?\u201d la risposta sia \u201cIo, mio marito e la creatura\u201d, per poi scoprire che la creatura per la quale non si vorrebbe pagare nulla, \u00e8 niente meno che un marcantonio di 17 anni, che \u00e8 alto 1 metro e 80, e che pesa 90 kg!\r\n\r\nOppure quando chiedono lo sconto perch\u00e9 la moglie \u201cPoverina, mangia poco, solo un piatto di pasta\u201d. Proprio alcuni giorni fa, visto che siamo Pet Friendly<\/a><\/em> (ovvero che accettiamo, volentieri, gli animali da compagnia), un ospite mi ha chiesto se poteva portare il suo maialino\u2026\r\n\r\nSpesso accade che ci chiedano la temperatura dell\u2019acqua, o se gli possiamo mandare una foto della sabbia. Qualcuno voleva sapere il materiale delle piastrelle in bagno per essere certo di non scivolare.\r\n\r\nForse l\u2019aneddoto pi\u00f9 divertente \u00e8 stato quando stavo illustrando ad un agente di viaggi le escursioni possibili dal nostro Club Esse Pila 2000<\/a>, in Valle d\u2019Aosta. Al momento in cui gli ho detto che gli ospiti potevano visitare il villaggio di Natale allestito a Cormayeur, mi sono sentita dire che \u201cNo, non sar\u00e0 possibile perch\u00e9 hanno il passaporto scaduto\u201d.\r\n

La tua vacanza ideale?<\/h4>\r\nQuella che faccio tutte le volte che posso, e che purtroppo la pandemia mi ha tolto, ma solo per il momento.\r\n\r\nIl mio concetto \u00e8 un viaggio all\u2019anno, ma per almeno un mese. Parto alla volta di paesi lontani, spesso anche da sola, e per lungo tempo, per potermi realmente immergere nelle realt\u00e0 locali, e vivere a stretto contatto con il paese che visito conoscendone il pi\u00f9 possibile le caratteristiche, le popolazioni e le loro usanze. Quando vado in vacanza in uno di questi luoghi voglio poter dire di averlo conosciuto e visitato.\r\n\r\nIl mio obiettivo del 2020 era la Namibia e purtroppo ho dovuto rinunciare. Ma domani\u2026\r\n

Raccontaci di quella volta che...<\/h4>\r\nCe ne sono molte. Avendo visitato molti posti mi sono ovviamente successe tante avventure, anche curiose.\r\n\r\nQuella che mi fa pi\u00f9 ridere \u00e8 la volta in cui ero nella estrema punta sud dell\u2019America Latina, con alcune persone conosciute sul posto, e ci accingevamo ad una escursione che prevedeva l\u2019uso delle canoe nello stretto di Magellano, che \u00e8 caratterizzato da acque freddissime e correnti spesso impetuose. Al momento di salire sulla canoa, uno diceva \u201cmetti il piede sinistro\u201d, l\u2019altro \u201cno, no, sali col destro\u201d, e un altro ancora \u201cprima siediti e poi tira su le gambe\u201d.\r\n\r\nInsomma, la fine \u00e8 stata che mi sono ribaltata nell\u2019acqua gelida, e meno male che c\u2019era uno scoglio vicino a cui mi sono aggrappata altrimenti chiss\u00e0 dove sarei\u2026 Ho rischiato di affogare, ma solo dal gran ridere! Risultato: rientro, cambio abiti, ed escursione rimandata all\u2019indomani.\r\n

Svelaci il tuo pi\u00f9 grande sogno<\/h4>\r\nSar\u00e0 anche banale, ma quello che davvero vorrei \u00e8 uguaglianza e pace nel mondo. Ho visto troppe ghettizzazioni e troppa violenza, e davvero vorrei non vederne mai pi\u00f9.\r\n

E se fosse un viaggio da sogno?<\/h4>\r\nNon ho dubbi. Un viaggio in mongolfiera intorno al mondo, impresa riuscita nel 1999 allo svizzero Piccard. Mi piacerebbe vedere il mondo dall\u2019alto, ma non troppo, e con la lentezza necessaria a fissare ogni particolare nella mia mente, fermandomi ogni tanto in luoghi sperduti, ma carichi di fascino.\r\n

Un augurio<\/h4>\r\nAnche questo \u00e8 semplice: la fine di questo incubo di cui la pandemia ha ricoperto il mondo. Vado per\u00f2 oltre, augurando a tutti i veri e imprescindibili valori per una vita che valga la pena di essere vissuta: salute e serenit\u00e0.\r\n\r\nCome dice il motto Club Esse: Scegli la Felicit\u00e0<\/strong>!\r\n
